The International Federation of Pueri Cantores, the American Federation Pueri Cantores, and Music Celebrations International, are pleased to present the 38th International Congress of Pueri Cantores, to take place in Washington, D.C., July 3-7, 2013.
Catholic youth choirs from around the world will join in this spectacular, once-in-a-lifetime festival culminating in an extraordinary Mass at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception, with his Eminence Cardinal Donald Wuerl of Washington presiding over the liturgy.
On July 4th, participating choirs will also sing for hundreds of thousands of onlookers at the United States’ official National Independence Day Parade, in sight of the Washington Monument and the White House, in celebration of America’s 237th anniversary of independence.
All participating choirs will be staying at the Hyatt Regency Washington on Capitol Hill, or at the Westin Gateway in Arlington, Virginia.
This first-ever gathering of international gathering of Pueri Cantores choirs in the United States will assuredly attract scores of fine choirs from many nations and unveil treasures of inestimable value to all. No one will walk away without experiencing the grandeur, spiritual and historical significance of the Catholic Church throughout the world, as thousands of young singers join together to proclaim the Peace of God.
